I've seen this tag floating round on a few blogs recently, and since I currently deal with a few skin concerns I thought I'd give this a go and give you something a bit different from all the reviews I've been posting lately.
Describe your skincare routine in five words
Strict, oil-free, non-comedogenic, unimaginative, safe
What's your skin type?
At the moment it's extremely dry, this is mostly just a side effect from the medication I'm taking for troublesome skin. Before I started on the medication I had very oily skin.
What's your favourite skincare product?
Probably moisturisers. Previously I was very nervous about moisturisers as I had to be very careful to use one that wouldn't break me out. Having dry skin now, I can't live without it!
Top Blemish Zapper?
Still on the hunt for this one. The one that has worked the best in the past (though no miracle worker) was the Clinique Anti Blemish Solution Moisturiser. I've tried A LOT of blemish treatments and the majority of them made no difference whatsoever.
Face wipes yay or nay?
Face wipes are definitely a last resort item for me - I keep a pack handy for when I get home after a night out and don't feel like going through my whole routine at 2am in the morning. I wouldn't use wipes regularly though.
Toner yay or nay?
Yes! For oilier skin I like to use Witch Hazel because it doubles as a toner and a spot treatment. At the moment I'm using the Akin Orange and Camomile toner, which is less harsh on my drier skin, yet still has a little bit of witch hazel to help combat any spots I still have.
High end skincare or high end makeup?
I'm going to go with high end makeup, although I do own (and love!) a lot of Clinique skincare - my moisturiser, eye cream, and several face masks, not entirely sure I'd classify that as high end though.
What's the most unusual skincare product that you've tried?
I haven't really tried anything too adventurous in terms of skincare, I like to stick to what I know in case of breakouts. At first I found the concept of face oils pretty weird until I tried some out (amazing). I haven't found one I like enough to buy yet though.
You're in a French pharmacy and can only pick one item - what is it?
ALL THE BIODERMA. I was in France about a year ago but I hadn't discovered Bioderma yet - so much regret!
